COMMUNITY OUTREACH

BCF is an organization that is exclusively devoted and committed to oversee the reduction and create awareness on HIV at grass root levels among working with children and development issues. BCF has a very big gap to address different deadly actions in communities of Jinja region hence ultimately enabling BCF serve their target groups (vulnerable children and orphans). Members of BCF Staff have undergone training on psychology and so have the essential skills to address many issues together with the stake holders. The most immediate action plan for BCF and the communities they serve is to carry out a comprehensive awareness campaign which involves community awareness, radio programmes, and documentation of victim’s experiences.

As a strategy,BCF also mobilizes community members in different communities each in one in one district of Jinja to enable them provide their input. This is the best way of getting their opinions and reactions about a project and the areas that may arise. By doing this, it helps BCF know the needs of the community for the trainings and educational campaigns in order to promote respect for human rights and also increase in the number of responsible women and men in communities and homes.

1. CHILD WELFARE

Realizing the stigma, lack and psychological torture and rob of joy of the orphans in Africa and also realizing the need to advocate for equal opportunities, involvement and participation in decision making, social, political, economic and cultural activities, we hereby commit ourselves into forming a school project which will be referred to as Bethel Children Foundation and ministry at the moment cares for 27 orphans. 

2. BUILDING PROJECT

The construction of a permanent structure to be the new home for the kids is underway with the building awaiting completion. The walls have been raised to the beam and the pending need is roofing and finishing. Special thanks to our esteemed donors who sponsor our activities, God bless you.

3. INCOME GENERATING  

Crop Farming  

For generation of food and income for the kids, BCF indulges in crop farming where the mature crops are dried to make food for the kids and the surplus sold to acquire other basic needs. 

Pig Rearing

BCF has started pig rearing that is targeting self-sustainability through reproduction and multiplication for future sales. All the funds from these projects are directed to the general welfare of the kids.
